Where oh where did the summer go? We completely enjoyed our summer and found ourselves flying through August at lightening speed. As I mentioned previously, I had the amazing opportunity to attend The Stationery Academy the last weekend of July. I returned home on my birthday (Sunday) and hit the ground running for the next week as the Craft Lady at our church's pre-school VBS. We took a week off before JLS and JBS went to Tennis and Robot Camp respectively. In the midst of that, I somehow took on the Logo duty at our small elementary school of 1200 students. :) I designed, ordered, sorted and sold all logo'd items which came to a head the week before school started. All this amidst a beautiful flourish in Tippie Toads sales this summer. It has been NUTS and busy and CRAZY, but Babe and I both feel completely blessed to be where we are. We have big changes coming in our lives, but we are both resting faithfully knowing God is in control.
So, I left off last with the 4th of July. We were invited by our favorite Yonder Way Farm (where we buy our meat and dairy) to meet them in their neighboring town of Round Top for their widely famous 4th of July parade. We then drove to their wonderful farm 15 minutes away for a family cookout. It was a beautiful day!
Most impressive Longhorn Cattle...
My little superhero begging for candy...
My baby is growing up...
The back-end of the Pie float :)
The youngest Sampler taking it easy in the shade... It was HAWT!
We then headed to Yonder Way Farm with other customers, too!
They had many, many, MANY free-range chickies. Those of which might be in my freezer right now :(
Little piggies, too...
Sweet JBS holding WHS up to see the MASSES of baby chicks...
Country fun...
Swimming in a feeding trough...
Who is this cutie??
Does it get any better than this?
The land next door is for sale and I would be lying if we didn't get the sale sheet AND talk about living in the country the whole way home...
