Football has been quite an experience for us this year. It was the first year I allowed JLS to play with pads and who knows what came over me when WHS asked to play. JLS had to wait until he was 9 and WHS never waited. Welcome to three children!
JLS was, as expected, quick and mobile like a cat and did very well. He was one of the youngest and littlest on the team, but he held his own indeed!
WHS was dubbed "Iron Will" by his coaches. He was the only child on the team that didn't cry and his coach LOVED him. That's what happens when you are the third of three boys. You get body slammed daily and think it's a part of daily life. WHS is TOUGH!
There have been LOTS of practices and LOTS of time on the field. It truly wore us all out. That said, I think the boys had a great time playing football. But for now, its time for a break!
