Veterans Day 2014

I was so happy when WHS' teachers asked for us to send in pictures of any Veterans in our families.  WHS and I got to spend time talking about my Papa and how he was related to WHS.  We got to talk about how he served in the war while Granny stayed at home waiting for him.  And then...when he got home, Grammy was two! Here is the poster outside his room.

We miss our Papa a lot.  But we are so proud of him and love remembering his service to our country!  He was a great man.

1st Baseball Season EVAH!!

WHS asked every night when his next game was going to be.  He practiced at home, he played with his brothers and he couldn't wait for practice.

Focused on his job...

Waiting to bat...

At the end of each game, WHS told me how hard to played. He said he ran hard, threw hard, and slid into home base. {he really did!}  He said, "Mom.  You know why I play hawd?"  Why? "Becuz I twying to win da game ball."   {heart-melting}

And so the big day came when we were having to tag team kids at ball games...and Mommy missed it.  So, I asked Babe to take his picture with the game ball.  His FIRST game ball that he desperately wanted.  I am not sure how it happened, but it appears that WHS made it home to shower and redress and THEN take a picture. We can thank daddy for the "Little Rascals" comb over, too.

Either way.  This sweet baby FINALLY got the game ball.  His short little life has been made for now.  And...he slept with it.

Zebra Night

Never been happier to bring home the class pet....Zainey Zebra.

Momma has never been happier that the class pet isn't actually a pet.

Trick-or-Treat!

This was our first year to trick-or-treat at our new house.  In fact, we moved IN on October 30th last year.  Last year we went back to our old neighborhood.  Because the yards are so big here, no one goes to the door.  Everyone camps out at the end of their driveway and passes out candy to kids to trick-or-treat via golf cart or even big trailers of kids.  It was so much fun!

Here is my little Gold Ninja.  His brothers seem to think he looked like a Solid Gold dancer...:)

JBS ordered a great costume and when we put it on, the legs of the costume only made it to his shins. I am not sure if it was made in Japan or if JBS has become the incredible hulk...probably both.  So, he dressed up as an Army Officer.  JLS was a Ninja, too.  And we had JLS's best buddy go with us.

My cute ghosts in my front yard.  It was so windy, they weren't as perfect as I would have liked them to be....

The don't love to pose like they used to :(

  3 cute brothers....getting so big!

The pumpkins on my porch that nobody saw:)

I sat with my sweet neighbor to hand out candy...WHS' best friend.  He LOVES Ms Kathye!
